Polar Salmon Hjerting Laks is a key supplier of Norwegian salmo (Salmon Salar), the wild-caught pacific sockeye salmon, Greenland halibut, trout and other delicious fish species. Using traditional methods, the raw material is salted by hand, cured and only skill and craftsmanship added to achieve that superior quality. Our modern, state-of-the-art factory is based at the port of Esbjerg, on the west coast of Denmark. Our range of products includes chilled and frozen cuts which are available filleted or portioned, supplied to both the catering and to the retail market. The raw material is carefully sourced from trusted, approved suppliers, which allows us to always offer only top-of-the-range fish products.
Traceability and good manufacturing practise
Food safety and good hygiene practises are top priorities at Polar Salmon Hjerting Laks. All raw materials entering our production facilities are subject to comprehensive checks. Our Quality Management System is established in accordance with the HACCP principles and complies with the most rigorous requirements set by the veterinary authorities, BRC and IFS.
Polar Grand Cru chef's cut is cut into 7-8 mm tranches to provide a multitude of attractive serving options. Dry salted and smoked, tail hung over beech wood chippings in old-fashioned smoke ovens. Trimmed to perfection with only the beautiful orange-red flesh remaining.
