The standards of The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) have been established. The MSC standard is an environmental standard for sustainable fishery based upon the FAO Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and is known by its characteristic blue logo. The purpose of the logo is to help consumers choose companies which support sustainable fisheries and environmental sustainability. The logo can only be used with MSC certified products and by MSC certified companies.
Polar Salmon has accomplished certification in accordance with MSC on some species and is working to obtain certification on other species.
